We are a group of folks who all own, train, and otherwise love Australian Cattle Dogs.
These dogs have been called heelers, blue heelers, Queensland heelers, cattle dogs, australian cattle dogs, ACD's but they are all Australian Cattle dogs or heelers.
Our mission is to find homes for adoptable cattle dogs who come to us in a variety of methods. They are found in shelters, some are owner surrenders. We do not have a facility where we have our dogs, we are what is called a "foster based" rescue. This means that our dogs live in fosters homes with other dogs, cats, children, etc. and learn to adapt to a family. A lot of these dogs have never been in a home before and need to learn how that works. Foster homes are our lifeblood. If it were not for the foster homes, we would not be able to save one dog. To learn more about how to become a foster, click the link at the right.
If you are ready to live with a cattle dog, we ask that you do some research. These dogs are not for everyone. You must make a commitment to give them exercise and some mental stimulation. Click our link "About ACD's" and also read Mark Abbott's ACD Site by clicking HERE. Mark has a great resource for learning about cattle dogs.
So now you have learned everything you need to know about cattle dogs, here is how our process works.
1. Complete an adoption application To Download the application, CLICK HERE We can not schedule a meeting until we have a completed application.
2. One of our volunteers will contact you to discuss the dog/dogs you are interested in and will set up a time and place for you to meet that dog.
3. We will perform a home check and verify your references.
4. Take over the care of your new best fur friend.
We offer dog chews to assist with the common problem of chewing. These antlers are healthy, safe and the best part, your dog will LOVE them!! Whether it is a puppy or an adult dog, or a dog that is going to be left alone all day, give them something to do with one of these great chews. Go to the Dog Chew page through the menu and read about the benefits about these dog chews or to place an order. They are Great!!

We are in need of foster homes. We can only help as many dogs as we have homes. Hundreds of cattle dogs are waiting in shelters, most scheduled to be put to sleep because of lack of space and it is difficult to not be able to help. Go to the foster page and read how to help these great dogs by becoming a foster home.
